Headspace
NY State is offering free access to Headspace mindfulness and meditation resources through the website and app: www.headspace.com/ny

Crisis Text Line
Free, confidential, 24/7 text message service for people in crisis. Every texter is connected with a Crisis Counselor, a real-life human being trained to bring texters from a hot moment to a cool calm through active listening and collaborative problem solving. All of Crisis Text Line's Crisis Counselors are volunteers, donating their time to helping people in crisis.

Aging Connect Hotline
Hotline for older adults who feel lonely or isolated; information is also available for caregivers. Specialists are available by phone on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Veterans
Trauma counseling, crisis intervention, and community support is available for veterans. Call 311 to be connected to these services.

NYC App Library: New York City provides a series of apps and online tools to help with management of health and emotional well-being. Apps are available for help with well-being, mindfulness, depression, anxiety, stress, substance use, or pain. All apps are free or free with paid features.

The New York State Domestic and Sexual Violence Hotline is available in multiple languages: call 1-800-942-6906

The StrongHearts Native Helpline for domestic/sexual violence is available 7am-10pm CT, confidential, and specifically for Native communities: 1−844-762-8483.

Mujeres Latinas en Acción has a 24/7 domestic violence hotline dedicated to supporting the Latina community (English/Spanish): 312-738-5358

For teenagers experiencing relationship abuse, advice can be found at the NY Teen Dating Abuse Project

GENDER AND SEXUALITY HOTLINES

The Trans LifeLine for peer support for trans folks 9am-3am CT: 1-877-565-8860 This hotline staffed exclusively by trans operators is the only crisis line with a policy against non-consensual active rescue. 

For LGBTQ+ folks experiencing abuse or hate-based violence: Anti-Violence Project offers a 24/7 English/Spanish hotline for LGBTQ+ folks: 212-714-1141

PARENTAL HOTLINE
